![]() ![]() Her family catches up and the scene becomes a full-blown intervention (her second of the day), with her friends and family around her. When they refuse to take her home, she runs into traffic, escaping to Lexi and Cassie’s house. But those were just little red herrings designed to make Sunday night’s revelation land with a more resounding crash. In another scene, Maddy calls Cassie immediately after Nate screens her call, potentially suggesting she knows the two of them are together. The last episode seemed to hint at such theories, with Maddy throwing pointed looks at Cassie while verbally lacerating Nate in the hot tub. It was a sadistic theory, though not entirely beyond the realm of possibility for Euphoria. Her revelation marked a long-awaited turning point in the season, and also pulled the rug out from under viewers-spiking a popular fan theory that, had it been true, would have been an explosive twist.Īll season long, fans have wondered if Maddy knew about Cassie’s affair and was merely waiting for the right moment to enact her revenge. Who would have guessed that it would be Rue all along? On Sunday night’s episode of Euphoria, Cassie’s secret affair with Nate was finally revealed to Maddy-and Kat, Lexi, Gia, her mom, and Rue’s mom-by none other than Rue herself, who saw a wicked opportunity to save her own skin by throwing Cassie under the bus. And then the white was definitely a choice to make it look even more strange and odd. This post contains spoilers for Euphoria. ![]() It's that secondhand embarrassment because it looks extra dramatic on her. It was meant to be an attention grabber and to even be a tiny bit uncomfortable to see - even the baby hairs, the overlined brown lips. "The Maddy look is weirdly haunting on her because it's just like, 'That's so not you.' But then it finally gets Nate's attention. She's really going through it to be morphing into her best friend." "There's definitely a comedy to it, especially with those looks," Davy says. I thought white would also look kind of jarring, a little weird - borderline off, just shocking. ![]() I realized that actually going with the stark white would pop more on her skin tone. In my and Sydney's eyes, we just associate baby blue with her. "At first I was going to do a baby blue situation because that's kind of Cassie's signature color. "It needed to be extremely bold and visible from across the hallway for the sake of getting Nate's attention," she says. Davy said she wanted to take Maddy's carnival look from last season and inverse it. For the first Caddy look that appears, we see Cassie in stark white eyeliner with big silver rhinestones - a much bolder take on sparkles than Cassie's tiny floating rhinestones in episode one. On the flip side, her Maddy-inspired - or Caddy, as Davy calls them - looks are sharper and bolder. "I was challenged with figuring out how to continue the Euphoria makeup conversation," she says. While she was moved by the response to season one's makeup, it meant the pressure was on when it came to dreaming up the looks for season two. (She's tight-lipped on the details for now but says some key products made an appearance in the show, so stay tuned). There's such an insane amount of talent on TikTok and Instagram, it blows my mind." These interpretations didn't only serve as inspiration for the season-two looks but became a springboard for Davy's upcoming makeup brand, Half Magic, which launches later this spring. "Maybe it's a Jules look but a little more with a Maddy glam aspect to it. "The thing that inspires me the most is when people take their own unique take on a makeup look from the show," Davy told Glamour. According to the show's head of makeup, Donni Davy, she's been just as inspired by the response to season one's makeup as the rest of the world was when the show came out. ![]()
